Pope Francis in His Own Words is a documentary that brings together, for the first time, the words of Pope Francis to show the life experiences that that led him to discover God’s mission for his life and that helped shape what is most important to him— the education and formation received and fostered in the family; the physical and spiritual care for all people, especially the poor; and the need for a deep faith and trust in God.

The documentary Pope Francis in His Own Words is a great way to introduce young people to the life and teachings of Pope Francis.

To help students get the most from watching the documentary, we’ve prepared a free, downloadable Guide for Catechists. The guide provides a detailed lesson plan for the teacher and a discussion guide for students.
