ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

In Pope Francis’ apostolic exhortation, Guadete et Exultate, he writes: “My modest goal is to re-propose the call to holiness in a practical way for our own time, with all its risks, challenges and opportunities. For the Lord has chosen each one of us ‘to be holy and blameless before him in love’ (Eph 1:4).”

Join the St. Josemaria Institute as we welcome our speaker, Michael O’Neill, who will explain the history of sainthood in the Church, current Americans being considered for sainthood, and the role and meaning of miracles in the process of sainthood.

Understanding how the Church recognizes saints and how it investigates miracles will help us contemplate what it means to answer the call to holiness in our own time and how the Communion of Saints helps us in our daily struggle and desire for holiness.
