PODCAST | Christ, the Good Shepherd

[ Podcast Transcript ]

In this podcast, Msgr. Fred Dolan continues our series on St. Josemaria’s homily The Richness of Ordinary Life by reflecting on the image of Christ as the Good Shepherd. The Gospel of John sets before us the imagery of the Good Shepherd who lays down his life for his sheep, capturing the selfless, sacrificial love Christ has for each one of us.

Following in the example of Christ, Msgr. Dolan explains that we too are called to be good shepherds in our ordinary lives, having a constant concern for souls. He encourages us to pray about our role in the lives of others and stresses the importance of building community and creating fruitful interactions with one another. In doing so, we become imitators of the love of Christ and good shepherds in the world today.
