Novena to St. Josemaria Escriva | 2022
The feast day of St. Josemaria Escriva, June 26, is a very special day for us at the St. Josemaria Institute. It’s a day to give thanks and to renew our devotion and trust in the intercession of our patron saint.
One of our favorite ways to prepare for the feast day is praying the annual Novena to St. Josemaria from June 17 to 25. And, we’d love for you to join us!
ABOUT THE NOVENA 2022
Pope Francis will conclude the year “Amoris Laetitia Family” on June 26, 2022 during the 10th Meeting of Families in Rome. The year “Amoris Laetitia Family” celebrated the fifth anniversary of Pope Francis’ apostolic exhortation, Amoris Laetitia, on the beauty and joy of love in the family. The Church’s goals for this celebration “intended to highlight family love as a vocation and as a way of holiness, so as to understand and share the profound and salvific meaning of family relationships in daily life.”
This year, therefore, our daily novena prayers are adapted from the Novena for Families by Fr. Francisco Faus. The novena aims to ask God through the intercession of St. Josemaria for a true Christian spirit and authentic love to reign in the family, and for the family to be a path to holiness for parents and children.
We look forward to praying this novena with and for you and your family as we prepare to celebrate the life of St. Josemaria Escriva on June 26!
