On this feast day of Our Lady of Sorrows, we’re re

On this feast day of Our Lady of Sorrows, we’re reminded that Mary’s sorrows were not separate from her love for Christ. She remained faithful to Him through every trial, standing at the foot of the Cross.
In our own lives, we too encounter crosses, disappointments, illness, loss, and suffering. Mary teaches us not to flee from the Cross, but to remain close to Jesus and unite our sufferings to His.
St. Josemaria invites us to contemplate Mary’s suffering and to learn from her faithful love, especially through the Church’s devotion to the Seven Sorrows of Mary:
🕊️The Prophecy of Simeon: Luke 2:34-35
🕊️The Flight into Egypt: Matthew 2:13-15
🕊️The Loss of the Child Jesus in the Temple: Luke 2:41-50
🕊️The Carrying of The Cross: John 19:17
🕊️The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus: John 19:25-30
🕊️Jesus Is Taken Down from the Cross: Mark 15:42-46
🕊️Jesus Laid in the Tomb: John 19:38-42
Let us turn to Our Lady of Sorrows and ask her to teach us how to suffer with Christ, to trust in God’s will, and to remain faithful when the Cross comes into our own lives.
