PODCAST | Our Call to Holiness

In Gaudete et exsultate (no. 9), Pope Francis writes that: “Holiness is the most attractive face of the Church.” On today’s podcast, we reflect on the call to holiness and the keys to attaining it: grace and freedom.

Why freedom and grace? Freedom, we are reminded, is needed in order “to choose the vocation in which we desire to make the presence of Jesus come alive in our hearts and in the heart of the world”.  And, we need grace “to aid us in living the Beatitudes”, which is “where the heart of Jesus opens up to us the many ways we can imitate him in our desire to become saints”.

As we listen to the podcast, let us ask the Blessed Mother and the Holy Spirit “to help the word of the Father penetrate our hearts, bringing the words of the gospel to our lips: ‘It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me’ (Galatians 2:20)”.
