In Dialogue with the Lord is the third collection of published homilies and talks by St. Josemaria Escriva, which he wrote between 1967 and 1975.
In his preaching, St. Josemaria Escriva had a specific way of talking to people from varied backgrounds in a family-like conversation in which all manner of topics come up: spiritual matters, points of history, comments on recent events, etc. This was his characteristic way of transmitting to them the Spirit of God, helping to enlighten minds and enkindle hearts, filling them with strength and with deep joy in the endeavor to give glory to God and to work for the salvation of souls.
The title, In Dialogue with the Lord, expresses the content and the purpose of St. Josemaria’s preaching to help readers in their daily personal prayer as they converse with Jesus face-to-face .
