A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST
“I have made approximately more than eight drawings of St. Josemaría, but never a painting. This, plus the fact that I had not used oil paintings for more than four years, was a great challenge for me. Painting a portrait of a person is one of the most difficult things to do as an artist. Any mistake can make it not resemble the real image. I tried to make this picture as detailed as possible and with much love in order to reflect the same love that St. Josemaria had for details and for God.”
