In today’s Gospel, Matthew 20:1–16, Jesus tells th In today’s Gospel, Matthew 20:1–16, Jesus tells the parable of the workers in the vineyard. Throughout the day, the landowner goes out again and again, calling people to come and work in his vineyard. The generosity of the landowner reminds us that God does not measure our lives as the world does. He continually calls us to Himself and generously offers us the grace we need to follow Him. St. Josemaria wrote: “You and I belong to Christ's family, for ‘he himself has chosen us before the foundation of the world, to be saints…’” -Friends of God, no. 2 Our vocation to holiness is not reserved for a select few. God calls each of us to work in His vineyard, to sanctify our ordinary lives, our work, our families, our friendships, and the circumstances in which He has placed us. Where is Christ calling you to serve Him more generously right now? Today, respond to His invitation with renewed love.
