This book is part of the series “A Retreat with…” the great masters of spirituality, like St. John of the Cross, St. Teresa of Avila and St. Francis of Assisi. Each work is an anthology of texts from the spiritual author, organized in a way to help guide prayer and meditation during a spiritual retreat.
St. Josemaria Escriva had very wide experience in preaching retreats, and in the middle of the twentieth century introduced a new approach to this traditional means of spiritual formation. Since the original publication in 2002, new works of St. Josemaria have been published, which include notes from retreats he gave in the 1940’s. The publishers of this edition have revised the original text and included some of this previously unpublished material.
